Landscapes, recorded in 2017, was my third ambient music LP. The naïf style of the cover, with its wonderful freehand spirals, perfectly reflects the eclectic spirit of the album: from the first track, in which we follow the dizzying dance of a lonely drifting iceberg, to the calm descent of a snowflake in a winter sunrise, passing through the vast steppes of Alaska or the hypnotic landscapes of Rothko (Rothko landscaper?), without forgetting the nervous effervescence of the Shibuya enclave or the abrupt roar of the most inhospitable place on Earth, the Erebus volcano… Everything fits on this record and each landscape has its own sound.
By the way, Shibuya was my first foray into the exciting world of algorithmic music. Composed from a simple fractal algorithm written in JavaScript.
